Equipment

1,000 to 4,000 gallons. Including a 4×4 that will go off-road.

The fleet is Type 2 and Type 3 tenders: an LMTV 4×4 wildland tender (non-CDL), a 4,000-gallon Peterbilt 349, and a 3,000-gallon GMC. Every truck drafts, dumps, and sprays. US DOT 3825308.

The fleet

Owned tenders. Real trucks.

Olive drab LMTV 4x4 wildland fire tender #406-1 on a burned hillside

#406-1 · Non-CDL · off-road

LMTV 4×4

Wildland fire tender

Military-spec 4×4, and the only non-CDL truck in the fleet. This is the tender that still gets there when the two-track is gone, the hill is burned over, and a highway truck has to wait on the road.

Red Peterbilt 349 wildland fire tender #406-2 with a 4,000-gallon tank

#406-2 · Biggest load

Peterbilt 349

4,000 gallons

The 4,000-gallon Peterbilt. CDL required. Dust, compaction, livestock tanks, and fire fills when you need a full load in fewer trips.

White GMC Brigadier 3,000-gallon water tender #406-9 with red stripe and 406 H2O LLC door decal

#406-9 · Workhorse

GMC Brigadier

3,000 gallons

A 3,000-gallon CDL tender for the jobs that do not need the Peterbilt and do not need the 4×4 — roads, sites, and tanks we can reach on rubber.

What they carry

Size a load against the 4,000-gallon Peterbilt, or call and we will send the 4×4 if the road will not hold a highway truck.

That is about 1 load on a 4,000-gallon Peterbilt. Smaller jobs can go on the 3,000-gallon tender or the 4×4 LMTV. Call 406-91-WATER to lock in a time.

1,000–4,000 gallons

Tenders from 1,000 to 4,000 gallons. Tell us the tank or the job and we will say which truck and how many trips.

LMTV 4×4

Extreme off-road. The only non-CDL truck in the fleet. High-clearance military 4×4 for firelines, burned ground, and two-track a highway tender cannot run.

400+ gallons per minute

Truck-mounted pumps fill from ponds, pits, pools, and other available water in minutes — we are not stuck waiting on a hydrant.

8-inch dump valve

Unload a full tender fast into a pit, tank, or wherever the job needs a lot of water in a hurry.

Spray bars, all sides

Front, rear, and side pressure sprays for dust, compaction, road watering, and pump-and-roll work.

2½-inch fire hose

Pump water to locations the truck cannot reach. High-pressure nozzles for roadways, lots, and demolition dust.

What that means on the job

Draft from almost any source

Truck-mounted pumps pull from ponds, pits, pools, and other available water so we are not tied to a hydrant.

4×4 off-road

The LMTV 4×4 wildland tender runs country a highway truck will not — burned-over hills, two-track, and firelines that need a high-clearance 4×4.

Pump and roll

Spray from the front, sides, and rear. High-pressure nozzles clean roadways and parking lots and knock down demolition dust.

Reach past the truck

We carry a large quantity of 2½-inch fire hose to pump water to locations the truck cannot get to.
